Alpesh Thakore, leader from the OBC Thakor community who has organised multiple OBC unity rallies attended by lakhs in Ahmedabad and has emerged as a strong bahujan leader extended support to Jignesh Mevani at a meeting organised by the Una Dalit Atyachar Ladat Samiti and the Rashtriya Dalit Adhikar Manch on 14.09.2016. He was welcomed with a portrait of Babasaheb, Savitibai Phule and Jotiba Phule. Pledging his support for Rail Roko symbolically, Thakor was very consistent with his criticism of Gujarat Model in his speech. Jignesh Mevani has announced that RAIL ROKO will take place on OCTOBER 1st.
