Shilpa Rao to headline live music gig to celebrate Peace and Harmony on Mahatma’s birth anniversary

Mumbai, 2nd of October: If it’s about Peace, Love, Harmony, and Music, then it is at The Gandhi Peace Festival 2015 Harmony Rocks on 2nd October, 2015 ie today! when all roads will lead to the Bandra Amphitheatre, 6 PM, onwards. In celebration of Peace on the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, the Bombay Rock Association is bringing together an eclectic mix of musicians and singers committed to peace and harmony.

The evening that will be hosted by the award-winning actress Swara Bhaskar of Raanjhnaa, Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns fame.

Bollywood songstress Shilpa Rao, whose delicate voice has already conquered the hearts of millions, as the headlining act.


Also taking the stage to wow the audiences would be one of the finest bands of Mumbai, Neeraj Aryas Kabir Café, revisiting Kabir’s verses with pop, reggae, rock, fusion and even Carnatic flavours.

The progressive collective Swaang, the streetwise rock-hip hop 7th Aayaam, and the ethnic Indian fused with contemporary global sound of Manish J. Tipus Neo Gharana would make for an electrifying musical soiree.

Bombay Rock Association (b.R.a) has been actively promoting Rock Music and youth activities in all the parts of India, during its 18-year existence, since 1997, when it was founded. The association has conducted more than 275 rock shows, driving on the wheels of music and is an association of 10,000+ members networked by the numerous college, corporate representatives and social media.
